Welcome delegates, officers, teachers, parents, and esteemed guests to the 7th annual South China Model United Nations Conference at Nansha College Preparatory Academy starting on December 7, 2018.  The MUN student officer team has worked tirelessly throughout the school year to bring you a challenging and rewarding conference experience, building on the strengths of the previous five years of SCMUN. Our team is proud to welcome people from all over the world.

 

Inside this brochure, you will find a campus map and directions to each of the committees and the guide. The approval panel will consist of NCPA faculty members, who will be present on each floor.  Chairs will review the rules and procedures when delegates arrive in committees. Advisers, faculty members, and parents may visit each committee and find seats at the back of each room, where they can sit and observe the committee proceedings.  Please remember to silence cell phones before entering the committee rooms. Additional approval panel members will be available on every floor and outside the Security Council chambers one hour before and after lunch. Our Secretary-Generals Louis Liu, Wilson Yao, and NCPA MUN teachers will circulate to check on committees.

 

I would like to thank each of you for participating in SCMUN VII, preparing for this day, and tackling the topics challenging our world leaders today.  As delegates, you must have the vision, the knowledge, the wherewithal, and the experience to help us pave the way to a brighter future. More importantly, I want to thank the MUN officers.  It has been a pleasure working with this talented and motivated group of leaders. Their continued development as resourceful makes working with them a real joy and I could not be more proud of all of your hard work.  SCMUN’s yearly improvements could not be accomplished without their provocative planning and desire for excellence.

 

Throughout this conference, I ask you to stay engaged and be proactive, as you help to shape our world. Thank you for your participation in preparation for SCMUN VII!
